MINUTES OF LONG RANGE PLANNING COMMITTEE

HELD AT THE TOWN OF MERRILL COMMUNITY CENTER

NOVEMBER 10, 2011

 

 

Meeting called to order at 9:15 A.M. by  Acting Chairman Mike Matushak.

 

Present:  Town Supervisors Mike Matushak & Scott Voigt and Harry Tubbin.

               Chairman Burgener & Rodney Gutenberger excused.

 

Also present: Rod Akey and Terry Sukow.

 

Ice Blocks on the Community Center was discussed.  Matter to be presented at the

November 14^th Board Meeting.

 

Mike reported he has a meeting with RTL regarding outside lighting and will get price

options.

 

“Town of Merrill Community Center”sign was discussed, with decision made for Terry

to obtain a temporary reflective sign from Rent-A-Flash.  A permanent sign will be

erected, along with a flag pole, in the Spring.

 

Scott reported attending a DOT meeting, stating the North Star overpass is not an open

and shut case.  The Lincoln County Highway Dept. has requested an Intergovernmental

Meeting and/or Public Informational meeting in the very near future to discuss this issue.

 

Next meeting to be held Thursday, December 8, 2011, 9:00 A.M.  Discussion on the following:

1.      Attracting businesses to the “Business Park”.

2.      Outdoor Lighting      

              3.   Change time meeting convenes.
